This light-minded trio was written back in 2006 for a “young composers” concert cycle, for which the date coincided with my dear friend’s birthday.

The form consists of three movements, each trying to catch the emotions one might feel on those special days.

Despite the program behind it, the music remains closer to absolute, almost classically pure spectre.
