AUTUMN ARABESQUES (Jesenske arabeske)
Judging by it’s scale and duration, Autumn arabesques is a miniature piece, just a feeling of passing of time in the Fall, when it was actually composed. It flies over the warm and sunny transitional days and sinks into dreary foggy November mornings, until in the end, the first snowflakes of the year begin to fall from the sky. The titular “arabesques” are found in the rising/falling motifs of the two main musical themes.
